A communal reading of the 'Letter to the Hebrews' over 12 weeks, and 6 in-person group conversations.
We will read the text of Hebrews together and on our own, attempting to see where it aligns with and informs our daily lives. Our conversations would include thoughts on contemplation from Martin Laird's An Ocean of Light and stories from Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha. (We would read these so you don't have to.)
The general topics from 'Hebrews' are: Stay. Rest. Grow. Endure. Encourage.
Our related main themes are: God in Absentia. God Invisible. God in Creation. God Incarnate. God Internum.
The dates for our sessions are Monday nights at 15 Princess Street, Stratford, from 7 pm to 8:30 or so: September 14, 28, October 5, 19, and November 2, 16, 2026.
Our intention would be to read the text together, reflect on it together, and then encounter the text daily in our lives over the course of 12 weeks. We would have these conversations in simple words, together with the spiritual wisdom of the group.
